Ricky Jay is opening another run of the Rogue’s Gallery in Toronto, Canada this Thursday. In an interview with the Toronto Star, Jay mentioned just how much he hates theft in magic.

“Theft annoys me more than anything else, ” says the vengeful Old Testament Jay. “The purloining of effects from another magician. Some people think it’s massive to steal the secrets of nuclear reactors, but to steal a card move is trivial. They’re wrong.”

Rogue’s Gallery will run for three days at Bathurst St. Theatre. It’s a must see.

Here’s an example of Jay’s work.

Since launching the site, the response from magicians around the world has been incredibly positive and supportive. This is even more so by people who actually produce products for a living and have an intimate understand of how harmful piracy is to our art.

There have been a few ignorant and uneducated complaints that occasion our in box from people who hide behind their computers. Thus far though, not one person holding fast to the hope of derailing any activity on our part to expose criminality, has offered a single articulate argument or a semblance of an alternative solution.

As word spreads about what we are doing, hundreds have begun asking to be listed as supporters. Sadly, there’s just not enough room on the side bar to do that. While we will add some more as time permits, but plan to build a supporters page for everyone. So if you want to be listed, feel free to get in touch and we will add you in due course. Thanks for being patient.

In the meantime, thank you for having the integrity to get involved; thank you for standing shoulder to shoulder with us in our efforts to mitigate the negative impact piracy has in magic.
