Welcome!

Welcome to the Magic Community’s Anti-Piracy Organization. We are a group of magicians, mentalists, entertainers, producers, shops, and others dedicated to mitigating the direct theft of published intellectual property. If you’d like to better understand our goals and efforts, please click on the “about” tab above.

Wall of Shame – The Database of Pirates

The Wall of Shame database is now active and contains a growing list of individuals who either run or are associated with websites that promote, encourage, and facilitate magic piracy. This database publishes active and closed cases and provides detailed information garnered from comprehensive investigations about these people and their activities to include, but not limited to, the person’s name, a current photograph, their age, address, phone number, email, and various social networking accounts they may use from Facebook to Twitter, MySpace to YouTube. All vetted MagicPiracy.org members (individuals, artists, retailers, etc.) are given direct access to this information so they can stay informed on who’s doing what, and where.

Overwhelming Response; Minor Complaints

Since launching the site, the response from magicians around the world has been incredibly positive and supportive. This is even more so by people who actually produce products for a living and have an intimate understand of how harmful piracy is to our art.

There have been a few ignorant and uneducated complaints that occasion our in box from people who hide behind their computers. Thus far though, not one person holding fast to the hope of derailing any activity on our part to expose criminality, has offered a single articulate argument or a semblance of an alternative solution.

As word spreads about what we are doing, hundreds have begun asking to be listed as supporters. Sadly, there’s just not enough room on the side bar to do that. While we will add some more as time permits, but plan to build a supporters page for everyone. So if you want to be listed, feel free to get in touch and we will add you in due course. Thanks for being patient.

In the meantime, thank you for having the integrity to get involved; thank you for standing shoulder to shoulder with us in our efforts to mitigate the negative impact piracy has in magic.
